Everyone goes through pain in life and it takes many forms: emotional, physical, mental. Pain can bleed into loneliness, death, toxic friendships, break-ups and so much more. 

What we often forget is that pain is temporary but suffering is optional and can prolong the pain. Surviving and thriving through hardship forces us to dig deep and derive integrity, patience, and strength.  

The popular proverb “When the going gets tough, the tough get going” rings true.
