Do People Really Change?
Do People Really Change?
“Why stop at satisfaction? Go for greatness!"
Change is inevitable, can be scary and rarely happens overnight. Adopting and adapting rarely feels comfortable at first but it is not impossible.
Can we as individuals change? Is it a conscious decision or are there forces beyond our control that give us no choice but to change?
Whether we seek out change or it hits us out of the blue, do you perceive change as an uncomfortable fear of the unknown or a motivational opportunity?
Some questions we ask:
- How many people intentionally seek out change? (3:00)
- I’m at point X and need to get point Y. How do I become better looking and what is my plan of action? (6:00)
- If today is my last day on earth, do you really want to do a task or are you feeling obligated? (20:00)
- At any point in life, are you further along and have I grown compared to ten years ago? (22:00)
- Does boredom, frustration or dissatisfaction inspire personal change? (26:00)
In this episode, we discuss:
- Life changing events like heartbreak, parenthood, financial loss and death that trigger inspirational self-improvement
- Whether our priorities and mindsets have consciously changed with natural evolution or forced events
- How the practice of gratitude can keep you grounded amidst change
Next time, you hear the saying “A leopard can’t change its spots”, would you agree?
"The only constant in life is change."
